Just a totally wack season that I pretend didn't really happen...but we went 10-17 in September and took the ALCS to 7 games.
Very disappointing game. We are missing too many regular pieces. The "real" Astro team has not been on the field for several weeks now. Got to get Brantley and Alvarez back. Get the dinged up players well, and get the pitching staff some rest. Bregman is waking up and Gurriel seems to be coming around. Tucker looks tired. The young guns have been up and down. We need a "homecoming" for the upcoming "homestretch."
Man, I know it was an amazing first half but I am so frustrated with the way it ended. Seattle winning 14 straight just makes it so sour to lose the last series like that. Oh well, gonna go to a park or something and get my mind of baseball for a bit. Damnit.
The All-Star break comes at the WRONG time for the Mariners. Then they have 13 games against the Astros and Yankees between July 22nd and August 10th. We will find out how real the Mariners are.
Maybe. I mean, I get the Astros are missing players right... but to lose a series against the A's? Just pathetic. They do this a lot before the ASB, playing down to their competition or just limping into it. Maybe we pick up a player or two at the deadline, or maybe we just simply get healthier. Either way, let's start playing better.
Didn't watch the game but looking at Meyers' clumsy ass dropped catch says it all Add that to the 3 weeks of defensive f*** ups
