Pretty sure the plan was for Javier to go 3+ innings. Doubt that happens now unless he rebounds well.
Javier hasn’t gone 3+ innings in a month. He’s actually not pitched more than 2 innings in that time either. this will be his third consecutive 1 inning only appearance. Given that he can’t pitch back to back days, needs extra time to warm up, and is battling command issues (sticky stuff?), not sure this is the role they envisioned for him when he was having a relatively dominant run as a starter.
