That is perfect! There has got to be a photoshop wizard on here that can make a 4 horsemen pic with Springer, Altuve, Correa, and Bregman holding up the '4' sign.
I don’t mind walking a few blocks so I just park on the street for free in the streets west of the stadium in downtown... parking is free starting at 6... just be careful the sign allows you to park... East of 59 is sketchy.. had my window smashed last week near Pitch 25 Full disclosure I usually parks near the Hyatt or Phoenecia or somewhere around there on the street and walk. Its free and once you leave you don’t get stuck in bad traffic. Paying to be close to the stadium is a losing proposition in my opinion... you pay and you get stuck in the parking lot trying to leave ... only good thing is your walk is short.. but I don’t mind a little walk
Don't look now, but Astros reclaimed the MLB Run-Diff lead. Happened a few games ago. Boston is only 2-6 in its last 8. Continue all that !!
I actually started reading the thread from page 1 and thought we were going to lose the game, that Oakland owned us, our season was over, that Cole was garbage now, that our hitters couldn't hit, and Brett Anderson was Tom Glavine. Glad I made it to the end of the thread to realize that the Astros are still pretty good when our horses are playing.
Only time I ever drove to MMP, I parked in the paid parking for free like a boss. I showed up early and the lot was unmanned, but I drove around and when I came back it was manned, but I said F*ck it drove up and the side walk and parked my van in the lot where there were no barriers. This was like 2012 or 2013, so very different times.
Doesn't change my point that they didn't "burn" their bullpen. Trivino threw 17 pitches. Familia didn't pitch. Rodney didn't pitch. Kelley didn't pitch. Buchter didn't pitch. Treinin didn't pitch. All 6 of those guys would be available for tonight's game.
I don't think he usually has severe old-Biggio-like issues there.. I feel like it's just when he's slumping and not seeing the ball well. Or in this case, coming off an extended absence.
Little league rules have been applied to the Oakland A's pitch count on account they are what we thought they were.
Still doesn’t negate my point. Oakland did not burn their bullpen last night, mostly thanks to Mengden’s performance.
Rewatching the game now on DTV. The key play of the game was Springer's in between hop double past Chapman down the left field line with one out and Maldonado on first in the bottom of the third. If Chapman comes up with that the way it was hit it is probably an ending ending double play and we don't have that 5 run rally that gives us the lead and demoralizes the A's. Still hard to believe Maldonado was able to score from first on that play. Did not know he had it in him to run that fast.
I know Gattis is going to get his ab's...but this should be the primary lineup until White proves otherwise. He's really the only wild card in this lineup right now as we don't know if this run is sustainable for the next 60 days. If it is, my original bet with my Seattle-fan friend of winning the division by 15 games might still be on. (I know it's highly unlikely we pick up that many more games with this little left to play...but it's fun to hope)
