How many wins have the Astros bats denied Cole this year? It's got to be at least five at this point by my reckoning.
No idea. The starters have 63 quality starts in 93 games and 45 wins. I do not know how out of the ordinary that ratio is.
Cole probably signed with the Astros thinking "Yes! I get to pitch behind one of the best offenses in MLB history!". Womo womp.
Why post this ?? According the stat, best run-diff gives a 75% chance of making the WS, and greater than a 75% chance of a Championship after making the WS, if don't play Houston.
Give that ump some credit, that was a correct call on a tough play. Now that they've taken the take-out slide out (which is good), the IFers don't get that neighborhood play anymore.
Situation still looks good overall. Astros are the better team and @ home. Let's see .... Eta- Marwin with a bad bunt. Better last time.. do better next time.
See that Peacock? That is how you finish off a guy when you have him 0-2. The bats are coming alive, I feels it.
I do give him credit. I'm glad the dumb take out slide is gone, and I'm glad they actually have to make the plays nowadays. I mean, I'm not trying to rag on Tuve in general, but this is just a when-it-rains-it-pours night for him with the throw out on the bases, GIDP, and error in the field. It's a strange sight to see.
