And just like that the Astros now lead MLB in run differential. There have been a few blunders early in the year, but the Astros are right back at it. Hopefully a series win today is in order. With Astros at 1 and Rockets at 2:30, this is a couch day for me for sure.
I personally liked it, it's a different point of view from another player. And he called a few shots that actually happened. Give him some time, first time in the booth, etc... Would like to see Biggio in booth, Nolan when Verlander or Cole pitching would be very interesting...
I did too. But I definitely wouldn't want it every broadcast. His stories are interesting, in part, because many of us have not heard them before. What I would favor is having "guests" in the booth more often, from a variety of baseball people. X-players, coaches even some from other clubs.
Hopefully Cole can get some run support this time. It has been an absolute drought at the plate when he pitches.
