Marins were up 5-0 and the Rangers still found a way to win. Meanwhile this team struggles to put more than 2 hits. Maddening.

I mean max is alright. I rather have verlander on his deal than max on his. I do like dunning and evoladi and I totally forgot about degrom damn

A rotation of Scherzer, Evoldi/Gray/Dunning/Perez while not quite as good as the Stros rotation is good enough to hold off the Stros because their offense is much better than the Stros offense.

Bouchy plays his best players in his lineups.

Dusty plays his pride and gut.

Jim Crane sees more good days ahead for Astros with return of Justin Verlander
Jim Crane was not pleased when he left Yankee Stadium Saturday afternoon.

He wasn’t unhappy, just not pleased.

The Astros lost 3-1, failing to take advantage of Justin Verlander’s outing, a quality start, a seven-inning, two-run effort.

“We just didn’t score runs,” Crane said. “That’s baseball.

“You lose 60 of them and you’ve had a great season, so one is not so bad in that context. But you know this, I want to win every one against these guys.”

I didn’t like the lineup, but man they struck out 16x

this is what we are usually doing to the Yankees’ batters

Our lineup 1-5 & 9 with multiple Ks

every one struck out at least once except Diaz who had half our hits in his PH AB

Oh snap Jose Ramirez and Tim Anderson traded blows. The ump thought he was in a hockey game.

Yep. I love Diaz. I think he needs to catch “every” game. But for a catcher that means 5 a week probably, tops. So, day game after a night game with a guy pitching that Maldy might have a chance to make contact against (he didn’t) isn’t a bad time to catch maldonado the one time a week he deserves. But play Diaz at 1B and do all the stuff you said. Make sure that Chas and Yordan get more AB’s than Peña. Pinch hit for maldy when the thing run is on base with 1 out down one in the 8th. we did none of these things, and lost. Maybe we still would have lost anyway. Probably likely so if I’m being honest. But that doesn’t excuse doing mathematically wrong things that make losing more likely. It’s just tough.
Dusty hears it. That interview this morning and his reasoning behind what he did was so bad, defensive and prickly. I wonder if that’s push back against the fanbase or if he has the FO and the nerd cave in his ear?
jose Ramirez is my FAVORITE non Astro player. Now even more so.

The incident had more scuffles afterwards and lasted over 7 minutes total

Props to the 5'9'' guy -- Ramirez

One of the few times a player has been knocked down from a punch
