I did. It was an opinion I laid and many didnt agree with, so much as to call me an idiot, moron, dumbass, etc and what have you because they didnt agree with an opinion on the internet. The guy is not infallible and some here want to not give him enough credit and some too much. Ive never felt comfortable with his bullpen handling, although I will say this loss was due to his hands being tied and how much our bullpen was overworked the past few games.

Tough loss, but at least SEA took an L too.

Keuchel had good results last matchup, save Stanton. We'll see if Severino continues being our daddy.

I wouldn't mind having an extra HAND in the bullpen rotation
this has always been our bullpen for four straight seasons, when they go through bad stretches it seems all of them go through them at the same time. They eventually get past it. I ain't even that mad.

That’s basically what it comes down too. Not so much anything mental as much as him not being able to find his slider. Hopefully that’s an easier fix than any sort of mental thing going on.

So that projects to the bullpen accounting for 26 losses out of 61. 26 losses would be about 2 more than average and 4 more than last year. The 61 losses will likely be less than every other team in the AL.

So while last night sucks and the Cleveland loss sucks, I think the pen will be fine for now. And by now, I mean in the regular season once pen gets back to being rested after a couple of good long starts. Next couple of days will be dicey as it looks like it may be McHugh or bust.

Harris and Giles should be available... along with McHugh.

On most days, that should be enough. Hopefully Keuchel doesn't need an early lifeboat.

I’m still not seeing any logical reason that Rondon couldn’t have gone back out in the 9th after dealing in the 8th. The guys we typically would’ve used were all taxed, how is it that a guy who’s closed plenty of games before couldn’t manage an extra inning when we needed it?

I find these “hard-trodden” rules for pitchers as borderline arbitrary and occasionally foolish. If someone’s pitching well let them pitch! He doesn’t have to become a regular multi-inning reliever but in situations like that it typically beats the alternative. He’s throwing a baseball, not a shot put. Stop over analyzing every situation and just play.

Love how the pitching staff is this year. But, it's scary to know we are one loss and out of the division lead

There are clear areas of need with a bunch of players regressing after career seasons. Great years from Peacock, Devenski, Gonzales and 14 homers from Jake Marisnick are unlikely to happen in the same season. I wish Correa would take the next step of becoming an elite hitter that we are all expecting.

Kemp in RF worries me a bit.

In other news, Rick Sutcliffe is a prick.

Why in the hell is Jake Marisnick still getting starts? Better yet, why is he still on the team?

Severino is one of the best pitchers in baseball. He’s on fire right now. He might end up with 14-15 K’s tonight

DK is starting to settle in quite nicely. He’s had a few starts like this. Seems to struggle the first inning or two but winds up being able to go 6-7 innings while giving up only a run or two. Let’s hope that’s the case tonight.

    Let's hope we score too.

Severino does whatever he wants against us.
