Can't blame Hinch or Devo. That's an out in nearly every park in the majors. He made quality pitches for the most part.

 

They only blow saves when Giles isn't the closer.

 

it's not just us. very frustrating but this is an epidemic in modern day baseball

 

Both Rockets and Astros having problems holding on to leads.

 

Rondon hasn't pitched multiple innings this year. He only did it 4 times last year, none in save situations, none in a game where the Cubs were closer than 3 runs to having a lead (one was a game where the Cubs were up about 10 runs). Just saying.

 

Does hinch know that we will probably lose when he makes these decisions? Or is it just everyone but him that knows? I cant figure it out.

 

Along with guys pitching for the 3rd time in 3 days. With the previous 2 outings in non save situations.

Say good bye to Tucker or Alvarez. That, plus a few more guys, will be the price for not addressing the bullpen properly in the offseason.

This is why you don’t use Giles in a non save situation, ever

But especially with a 4 run lead with the pen already worn out

And no off days coming up

He should have been available tonight

I like Hinch more than most, but pen use last two days not smart

 

I know he has a blazing fastball but he honestly only throws that one pitch

 

I know. I still haven't gone back to the GARM or sports radio yet. We might need therapy sessions.

Shouldn’t have used him last night in a non save situation, and then yes he would have closed tonight

Now we have used Devo three in a row and about to tear through the pen a little more

yankees also have a ton of comebacks in the 8th inning and beyond this year. feel like it's kinda dumb to blame devo and hinch especially with the fact that that HR probably wouldn't have been in one in a normal ballpark
