Bets on Kut Karter K's in series? I'll say 7 in 3 starts and 1 PH appearance. Even though he hasn't K'ed more than 5 times across 3 straight starts this season (yet)
I don't mind the 3 division format, but I'd still reduce the number of games against division opponents. 19 games against each division opponent is just way too many.
If the division is weak (I'd say it's currently mediocre), then it will be a weak schedule. The question then would be, "how we faired outside of it."
Frankly, I like the division heavy format. Basically, Rangers won the division last year based on taking care of business head to head. At end of the year, some teams are trading vets for prospects. With too big of a division, the top two teams in a division may not face in last few weeks. It would suck to need someone to lose and they are playing glorified AAA teams at end of the year. Astros this year face everyone in Division in last month and the Angels and Mariners twice. If they need someone to lose, they have the opportunity to do it themselves.
Great to see Correa's swing come around. It was way too early to write him off, he's going to have a monster year this year. The next 5 years (I think we control him for 5) are going to be some historic baseball.
