Can't believe this kid said he was "surprised he wasn't named the closer." I wonder if he is still surprised.
A solid 27 runs through three games. Spring training pitching was awful. Common theme of leaving balls up while ahead of hitters.
FWIW, if that Yankees lineup is healthy, it's pretty stout. Our pitching should be better than this, though.
No..... But giving up a hr in each of his first two innings isn't good either. I'm high on him but I mean giving up a 3 run hr probably cost us the game
I agree with you but just want to point out he's be bad since the start of spring training, which means little to nothing but considering he was trying to win a job it means a little more.
Possibly, still have two more turns though Giles will be fine, pretty much every pitcher on both teams has struggled this series
its not just two games though, it was all spring, something isnt right with him so far. And this trade could come back to haunt us if he doesnt turn it around. I think if he isnt an elite closer by midseason then the trade is an absolute fail for us. We gave up so much for a ****ty (so far) set up pitcher
Why Hinch brings Giles in that spot when that dude has not pitched a good game for the Astros??????????? Giles fastball does not move and has no command. I miss VV already.
Looks like the road woes and mental midgetry is carrying over from last season. Not a shocker. Team has issues.
I agree with you, ST pitching was very bad for our 4-5 starters and Giles. I don't trust Giles so far in a tied game or winning by 1.
God forbid we have an anomaly season like the Rockets with this team this year. I wouldn't doubt it because we are the City of Houston, and **** like this happens to us.
