The NBA changed it from an injured list to an inactive list a couple of years ago.

Pitchers go on the DL for fatigue or tired arm. Seems only fair that we put Carter on the DL for having vision problems.

We also thought that about Deduno. He went on the DL despite no known injury (ultimately reported as lower back tightness/injury) and ended up on the 60-day after hip surgery.

He has fatigue arms, he can't catch on fastballs

That might work! I'm not sure that "torn talent ligament" is an actual medical malady.

This could be easily sorted out if Hinch pulls a Buttermaker from Bad News Bears and tells Carter to lean into a fastball. Assuming Carter sees the fastball, that is.

let's be real--he may have told Carter to do this weeks ago. His execution of that (leaning into one with his arms/hands) vs. getting a hit would look similar

I'm tired of seeing Chris Carter strikeout. He isn't going to break out of this slump, this is who he is. He doesn't need more playing time to get out of it, when he was a starter he was still doing the same thing.

Every time he goes out there and does more of the same, it becomes more apparent that something needs to be done to address the 1B position, and there is a few options (Tucker should be playing first in the minors, there's 2 prospects that could do better than what Carter is doing.)

Yep... especially since it ensures that Carter is out.

huge! Didn't seem to be major, but with him it could always be a couple of weeks out

Lowrie standing in the batters box and not swinging the bat is still better than Carter.

Last night's loss was tough to take...especially considering it was a walk-off win and it was pretty much a gifted win at that. I didn't particularly care for Perez's explanation, either. He harped on they were taking his sliders all the way? Umm...then how about you throw some damn strikes? I also didn't agree with leaving him in with two men on. I would have changed him out right then. It may not have mattered in the end but you gonna bring in your new pitcher with bases loaded and no out? Why don't you just throw him to the wolves while you are at it?

Wow... Marwin batting eighth. This could be an effective order.
