Man the second Perez put the first guy on there was no reason to keep him in. That's unacceptable.

And I know this has been beat into submission but WTF IS CARTER STILL PLAYING????

Can we send down players hitting less than .250 which is most of the team for a week to triple AAA to get their confidence back. We are okay right now but most of the playoffs team turn it up another level when the season is winding down.

This! Why oh why is Carter still playing? Anyone can go up to the plate and swing 3 times at anything and I mean ANYTHING !!!!! And strike out. Hell pay me millions I'll do that. Do they think he's gonna all of a sudden be like the Carter from last year?

That wasn't Qualls fault per say. Beltran knew he just need to fly out. Qualls cannot afford a ball to get a walk. First would be a strike.

Well, I still think we can win this series but: I have to disagree with Beard, we can't expect to win late against the Yankees as they have great bullpen just the opposite of the Dodgers. Second, Carter can't play anymore, forget about that guy. Third, conquistador, as u told you Beltran is hitting lately, we have to be careful with that guy. This game continues to show us what we know, we suck on the road? No idea why we have Carter on the team and that our lineup is very weak.
Positive is we have great starting pitching and defense, and with that combo we can win low scoring games. I still think we can win this series go Astros

    Because they left Houston

Perez was absolute trash, but he'll bounce back.

Yeah, that's a pretty unbelievable post given his recent performance.

He was the best option in a pretty much impossible spot. He didn't make a good pitch, but to blame him for that loss is asinine.

If by "Chad Qualls" you mean Chris Carter and/or the offense, I agree, Perez and "Chad Qualls" crapped all over. :)

No way you meant/are blaming the real Chad Qualls.

Tyler White hits freaking .400 in AAA yet we still settle for Carter, a guy that most definitely will not be in Major League Baseball next season. This makes no sense whatsoever, what dirty laundry does Carter have on Luhnow that garners a roster spot!

And Perez's wanky delivery will never get it done. I was so happy when we got rid of Joe Thatcher, but it looks like Ollie is just another version of him.

Astros offense wasn't good in Houston either. It's just that our pitching has been so outstanding that a little run support is all they need.
