Putting the Astros under McLane in with this bunch is a joke. If the 'stros finish under a .400 winning percentage this season it will be the first time the Astros have done that since long before Drayton. Hell, they didn't even finish below .400 in 1991. He's made some crappy ass decisions with the farm...but to suggest he hasn't spent money to try to acquire perceived talent is ridiculous. Carlos Lee says, "hi."
Ah, ok. Thanks. The feel I got from the article was "our poor Yankees and Yankee fans have to suffer through series with teams that -- *shudder* -- LOSE!!!!!!" To which my response is, "WFW." Everybody plays everybody. And, is he seriously suggesting we should be more like soccer? Then he's way off base lumping the Astros in with these franchises. Since 2004, the Astros and Yankees have appeared in the same number of World Series (though that will change in the Yankees' favor sooner than later!).
