Geez. Did you just come in here to post game post fight? Yes we all know the bats suck. Montero sucks too.
They scored 5 and 4 runs in the other two losses. Montero blew a 3 run lead in the 8th with 2 outs… Another, more controllable solution is not playing Montero in high leverage spots right now.
They scored 1 run tonight. They’ve score 1 or zero runs multiple times this season. The lineup is inconsistent.
To be fair, at least Bregman's numbers across the board are just bad. Abreu and Montero have been next-level awful. I can forgive Bregman starting the season with a 82 OPS+ for the first few weeks, because I trust things will even out and he still has good at-bats and gets on base a decent amount. But I have zero faith in Abreu when he's at the plate or Montero when he's on the mound--those guys have been train wrecks, and that's a generous assessment.
Because it is put together with a .203 hitter in the 2 hole, a .213 hitter in the 5 hole, and a catcher who wasn't even good at AAA in the 8 hole There's very little chance you get anything out of a lineup constructed like that.
It's either b**** to my dogs in the empty room with me, or on here lol. My wife doesn't give a ****, and that'd mean I would have to go into the other room.
no it didn’t happen but there was definitely chatter about it. It seemed like a possibility at the time. How close it actually came to happening I’m not sure.
also I remember a press release came out after Dana Brown was hired stating Ausmus was the other candidate considered. I also remember Crane saying this in an interview
Bregman makes too much money to be starting like this every season. It’s especially highlighted without Altuve in the lineup.
I believe Ausmus did interview for the job. At least he was rumored to. There was definite negative **** thrown around here about that.
He started a catcher who wasn't even good in AAA, he penciled in a .203 hitter in the 2 hole, and a .213 hitter in th3 5 hole....THEN when the game was tied, he brought in the worst performing pitcher on the staff to end the tie and give the game to the Sox. He basically did everything he could to ensure a loss.
I don't disagree. Just pointing out that Montero and Abreu have statistically been much worse thus far. Bregman is also still playing very poorly and shouldn't be.
This was a BS loss. Stings. ****ing hate it. win tomorrow, take the series from this awful team, and move the **** on with dignity intact.
The only thing that will calm me down is winning tomorrow. If we lose a series to the White Sox it's inexcusable.
