Luhnow on 790. "Neither Gerrit nor our trainers think the injury is serious but we will most likely need imaging and recovery time to avoid risk".

I figured for sure they would put Cole on the 10 day.

Even if he's ready for his next start it would basically be 10 days since he last appeared in a game.

I expected Alvarez in left for one game yesterday. Regarding batters, this may be the Astros best lineup.

Like Yordan getting some time in the field; this game is a good time to work on it. He's faster than I thought...watching him go 1st to 3rd in game 1 yesterday, I was impressed for a dude his size.

Diaz is a better hitter than Marisnick, but at this point I think Jake is easily a more valuable player than Reddick or Diaz(as an outfielder). So this IMO is the best team we can put on the field (with Springer in the field and Alvarez DH'ing obviously)

Reddick just isn't giving us anything, and hasn't for a few months now.

HFA seems more important in the WS than the ALCS, due to the whole "what to do with Yordan Alvarez in the NL parks" issue.

I should have caveated with players I would want on the field in more than a temporary basis like Diaz in left or right. I expect big things from Diaz, though. He's got a very fundamentally sound approach at the plate, but doesn't quite get enough loft on his hard drives right now.

Think since Oriole Park opened, and teams are now built around stadiums, home field in decisive games have proven to be statistically relevant. It was like 14-6 in the last three or four decades for the home team in decisive games in the WS. Astros and Cubs bucked the trend.

Yes. They are. But half the yankee's are in the infirmary. How the FLOCK do they keep winning. Crap rotation. Their two big crushers have a combined 13 dingers and 39 RBI's. Yet they still lead us. Does having the dregs of baltimore and Toronto in your division give you THAT big of an advantage?

Yankees are in Bizarro World. The Yankees bad luck with injuries has been matched by good luck where all their weak hitters are hitting.

Except in 2017 HFA seemed infinitely more important in the ALCS vs the WS. Every year is different but having to play in Yankee Stadium for a potential game 7 isn't ideal IMO.

Alvarez certainly complicates the WS but they aren't mutually exclusive - HFA in the ALCS would still be a far better outcome than not.

Any1 have any thoughts on the over/under for this game 3 between the Astros/Whitesox?

The over under is 10, do you think it'll go over or under
