6 games left with the Mariners and a 13 game lead. I know this is crazy talk with this series really bringing us down mentally, but Astros shouldn't feel comfortable at all. After that walk off win I thought we'd come in to Chicago and lay down a beating Astros style. This sucks ass.

What a ****ing travesty. I really didn't think this Astros team would fall apart like this, but the combination of injuries, inconsistency, and inaction at the trade deadline has all but crushed their morale. Luhnow, Crane, & Co. really need to look long and hard in the mirror, and figure out the next step because this is such a goddamned mess right now.

I was just thinking the same thing. If the lead gets to single digits look out. All we need is one good week and an average week for the Ms to balloon it back to 17-18 games though and then it's a wrap.

Yeah it can certainly go back to the 16 plus game lead we're used to and even the current 13 is significant but this team needs a boost big time.
The good thing is there is only 6 head to head games. We have like 9 left with Texas. With only 6 games the best they can do is shave it down to 7 games at this point via head to head results.
McPew is no good at or after 5 innings imo. You just hope he doesn't give it up in the first inning. He does well...up to a point. Then, the wheels come off.
Liriano was acquired to face lefties and yet Hinch keeps letting him face righties too. Should not be surprised if the result is terrible.
