Another tough break...Wilson loses ball in lights and the relay home is in time to tag runner but Ausmus couldn't come up with it. Go figure... .
Hey guys, I'm in Chicago now for the series and the one with Detroit coming up and Astros Nation is representing. Eveywhere I go there are Astros fans coming up to me and high-fiving. White Sox fan doesn't talk any smack, but they're always scoreboard watching wondering what the Cubs are doing. One told me to sit down after the Berkman blast, but that was the worst "insult" I heard. Hopefully T.B and Roy O. come through, last night's game was very winnable. GO 'STROS!
Well, that's always the problem when we play the White Sox. They are all winnable. Yet, we always come out on the losing end. At this point, any victory against the White Sox is a milestone and well past due. I'm so sick of it being "well...if only this happened, then we would have won". If only I had these six numbers, then I would have won the lottery. What's the difference? Right now...the Astros have to prove to themselves that they can beat the White Sox...something they have been unable to do.
When Taylor looks like has so far today... when he has all of his pitches working, has great location, and has guys swinging at terrible pitches where they whiff or pop-up meekly.... it makes me pretty optimistic that this guy will continue to improve and one day be a dominant starter. Ausmus said to not be too discouraged if Taylor continues to be inconsistent... that's what happens to rookies who make their first go-around through the league. But, he said to check out Glavine, Smoltz, and a laundry list of great pitchers who were hit hard their first year. That being said, we do need to win NOW, rather than later.
I guess I don't get the luxury of seeing this game. I get some out of market game between Phillies and Red Sox. I still don't understand this logic of airing games that noone in their right minds in Texas cares about. We want to see the Astros, ashos. And, this is looking like a hell of a game to miss so far. Damn.
Finally, someone in the media admitting that they always knew in the end they knew Roger would end back up in Houston.
Key inning right here for Buchholz... if he can get thru this unscathed, he might be able to finish the game out.
Ugh... a pop up finds a spot in the bermuda triangle. Lets hope that Qualls fares better in this situation than he did the last time he pitched in Chicago (gave up a grand slam to Konerko in game 2).
It always comes down to dramatics. We couldn't just easily finish them off. It wouldn't surprise me if a grand slam was hit right here.
