My God! Before Jenks threw that first pitch I told my wife that Ausmus is one of the worst (next to everett) clutch hitter on the Astros and that I would bet he would hit into an inning ending double play and whalla! one pitch and he grounds into a DP. I knew he wouldn't bunt, he historically doesn't do that well either. Unreal, white sox will win in the 10th with a dramatic walk off home run.

 

I meant game 7 ... whatever!

Yeah well he had two outs with one man on with a 4 run lead. And what happens...bases get loaded and gram slam.

The Sox have hit three grand slams in the last three games...again that is beyond unreal. Noboby on this pitching staff has contained them outside of Oswalt and Buchholz...and then the fact that they swept the Cards, put up 11 runs on them in one inning, winning 20-6 in one game, only get like 1 hit in another but it was the game winning hr.

I will be so glad when interleage play is over for the season.

 

Astros are doomed as long as we keep Everett and Ausmus. With a pitching spot, that's damn near a guaranteed 3 outs for every turn in the batting order.

 

Or how about Purpura finally make a trade to bring in some help?
