Verlander is a bad man, BUT I am a bit concerned about his tendency to give up the long ball. The Yankees have a number of HR hitters. He is going to have to be very careful and our hitters must provide run support. The Yanks are going to be swinging for the fences.
StatCast agrees that Altuve had a high pitch called a strike and that Judge got lucky once. Not sure what broadcast is showing differently.
Which airline? I work for an airline as well but actually passing through JFK on my way to Spain with my wife lol.
How did the Astros wind up with baseball's best-dressed fans? https://sports.yahoo.com/the-pen-ho...ith-baseballs-bestdressed-fans-151808400.html
Understand moving Correa up, he has always been our most focused and best hitter on the team, and he's earned as high as 4th or 5th even in the slump, however, Alvarez is a rookie so his mindset could be altered for the better, or even for the worse. We are talking about the rookie of the year getting another demotion here after putting up MVP type season. Like the move for no other reason than Correa is such a talent at all times, but more important, when it counts. Get him more opps.
Just waiting for that Gurriel break out to happen. Dude has looked good at the plate and the contact has been excellent. He just needs some luck finding the gaps but it feels like its coming.
Playoffs are different. Judge was a strikeout machine as a rookie. Hes a pro, just needs to adjust. Correa, healthy, makes this a championship team. It's no wonder they didn't perform last year when he wasn't 100%. Dude just swags all over the playoffs.
Our logo/uniforms are PERFECT. I literally wouldn't change a single thing about them for the next 100 years - no hyperbole. Hopefully Crane doesn't pull a Les and completely overhaul them after we win our 2nd championship.
Agreed. And the Astros still aren't hitting up to their regular season standards, although that may be somewhat normal for the baseball playoffs. And I get that, particularly for older fans like me, we still are a bit skittish from the years of Houston playoff failures and those scars never really go away. But for the life of me I don't understand the lack of faith in Hinch. The guy has earned his stripes and deserves a little more respect than he gets on this forum. Just my $.02. Go Stros!
