Why ever throw Yainer a strike?

 

Yainer isn't insisting on a ball within a foot or two of the zone

 

Yainer “zero plate discipline” Diaz strikes again.

 

Yainer last HR June 7th. He had a HR in 4 straight games.

 

Yanier doesn't have the plate discipline to be in the middle of the order protecting anybody but there's not a lot of options with Tucker out. Yanier has hitting talent but his free swinging is frustrating.

I just don't see any intent or reason behind it.

If you want to hit a guy you don't throw it at his ****ing knee and react like the Twins guy did. Yordan's a big dude, there's lots of easier places to hit him.
