I'm beginning to like our chances better. New pitchers often give up problems. But he's played well against sub 500 teams and we usually have problems with pitchers who have not had success with below average teams.
JV is 7-2 at Target Field with a 2.39 ERA, Lifetime vs Twins he is 20-10. Hopefully the Astro bats get geared up for some road trip crooked number innings.
Got a Houston Correa shirt and am wearing my orange Stros hat. Am curious if I get any boos. Unfortunate that Correa can't play as it would be funny to see if the Target Field Crowd boo Altuve, Bregman and other Stros while cheering for Correa.
Last time I saw Verlander pitch in person he lost a 1-0 game to Jake Odorizzi. Of course the weather was 40 at first pitch and dropped to almost 20 by the 9th. It's 80 here right now in Minneapolis.
I'll take crooked number innings or a picket fence. But I'd like to get back to averaging 6 runs + every game.
