Two of the higher average guys sat tonight (Reddick and Brantley) and three of the worst hitters on the team (White, Stassi, and Diaz) are in there. Not a great recipe for scoring a lot of runs.

Buxton looked like Biggio chasing that slider.
Chirinos should be designated to play when Reddick and Brantley sit.

Overall pathetic display by the offense tonight, and weird lineup choice by Hinch. Mediocre pitchers seem to shut this offense down too often

He is not the answer at DH. Worse than Gattis.

I dont care about his ops+ compared to Gattis so spare me the stats. Gattis used to get red hot at times. White just doesn’t. He had that hot streak last year and has sucked ever since.

Isn’t helping that Yuli, Bregman, and Altuve have been on bad slumps lately. And Stassi still sucks

edit (had to look at it again to verify)

Tyler White has 3 ABs tonight, he's swung the bat once and watched 11 pitches. He's 0-3 with 2 K's.

Yuli is quietly having a sh1tty season thus far -- OPS sub-700

    Stros 0-6 RISP tonight.

Eta- 1-7 !! NOBODY shuts out the Stros on 5/1/19

The Twins are actually a good team. And right now they’re making this lineup look pathetic. Granted, it’s a lineup without Reddick and Brantley and it includes Stassi and White. So we weren’t exactly set up for success today. Still disappointing to be shut out twice in three games. Let’s get the split tomorrow afternoon.

Edit: Not a shutout tonight, but still a very very poor offensive performance.

Thanks for thinking of my comment on the Gattis/White stats.

White does in fact get hot at times, the middle month of last season is a prime example: he sucked, then he raked, then he sucked all over again down the stretch in September

I see Hinch decided to take an off day.

Gurriel/Diaz/White/Stassi/Marisnick .... We should have just put Josh James at SS and Devo at 3rd so Correa and Bregman could have an off day too.
