I think Paulino will basically be on standby tomorrow, prepping as the starter -- Fiers will be on a short leash.

This is Trout's first career DL trip.

He's played 5 full seasons thus far.... five Top 2 MVP finishes.... two MVPs

This season is his best.... by far, 1.200 OPS

    He pretty good

I'm not a baseball guy but I'll be happy to bandwagon and front run the Astros.

Only drives home the reminder of what a massive failure Jiovanni Mier is.

If you guys had to pick our best line up, who is on the bench? I'll say Aoki, Gattis, and Bregman. I like Marisnick.

I hope Marwin gets all-star votes. He deserves some national recognition at the least. Great tool for any team, but he's an embarrassment of riches for a roster as deep and flexible as ours. Maybe that's why he doesn't get the love, but still. It's a long season, so let's see if he can keep this level of play up. His stats thus far are impressive. Through the first third of the season:
    .311/ .401/ .639/ 1.041

    11 HR, 30 RBI, 19 R, 6 2B, 28:17 K:BB, 2 SB

Not a big "on pace" guy but we're 1/3rd of the way through the season. Marwin seems to really gel in the clubhouse, especially with Jose and Carlos. He is an UFA this offseason. Would love to keep him, but he'll likely receive some Zobrist-esque offers, maybe topping around 5/80MM if he keeps this up.

Blue Jays trying to outdo the stros. Have 15 in the bottom of the 8th.

Paulino coming up! Fiers' new spot in the rotation might not last long.

Oh no, that's a huge bad thing, like taking the bat out to the mound. Remember when Moises Alou busted Terry Collins's face with his helmet? Same fight Cangelosi body slammed all 6'8"of Jeff Juden.

But I even included the standard "I'm just ****ing with you" winky-smiley thing.

The Astros have a club option for $5M next year for Marwin...he will be an Astro again in 2018.

I think you just said he was an UFA and that the Astros had a club option on him at the same time?

I'm not a GM, and I think Luhnow knows what he's doing with these recent results. However, I think they should totally strike while the iron is hot around the trading deadline. Sometimes, a team just seems to put it all together one year but fizzle out the next year. I would not count on the team getting off to this kind of start next year, so do what you can to get the best results this year.

So... the Rays just scored 5 in the 7th to take a 10-7 lead in Arlington.
