it's the theme for astros offense.

astros batter usually pick up pitcher's ball well in the 1st (get hits, gets walk, make them throw strikes). the afterwards they just go back to free swinging mode or just stare at strikes right down the middle.

 

I wish we could all stop with posting the stats of the subpar opposing pitcher. Either the Astros are going to wake up one day and start making things happen against average pitchers or we're already dead in the water and nothing is going to change.

 

don't mean jack shiet.

when facing astros offense, pull up the pitcher's best stats.

1st inning is traditionally when a lot of starting pitchers are most vulnerable "before they settle in"

that's why all these lobsters from 1st innings are killer because we all know astros offense can't score more than 3 runs if they don't score early.
