The bad news is we play down to the level of our competition. The good news is that we won't face those teams in the playoffs.

7 inning games are worse than extra inning rules. It's pathetic, I remember getting pissed about 7 inning games in little league baseball.

The A's lost 2 of 3 with the Yankees, and split the Rangers. Can't beat good teams. Giants, How good are they?

Correa provides more defensive value than Springer and is considerably younger meaning he's more important for the king term also.

Man, some of y’all need to get some antidepressants or something. Crazy amount of negativity in this thread after just one loss (following an 11 game win streak). Did y’all really think we would never lose again? Even the very best teams have bad days.

From what others have said, I believe you are correct.

They are 20-12 compared to the Astros 29-16 against .500 and above teams. So they are good against them but they haven't played as much of a sample size against good teama as the Astros so far.

So you would just ignore his injury history and assume this season is the only basis for a long term contract.

I would rather have Tatis at a $24m AAV, though I do recognize it is a Bregman type contract covering 4 years of CC. Or I would take Trout and move Bregman to SS for $35M/year. Act like he Trout worthy. Cole received the highest AAV at $36M and you think that's a starting point.

I'm sorry, but that doesn't seem rational or prudent to me.

Look at Brantley at age 34.
We need to try and sign Correa for 7-8 years.

The 6 year 20 million per season looks embarrassing now. Astros have to hope he we take 8 years 30 million per season and stay with team.

Agree on Correa’s health. A healthy Correa is worth 30 million a season for 8 years. Have to trust Astros and their knowledge of Correa’s back struggles in previous seasons. When his back goes out… he can’t swing. Is that a potential reoccurring injury?

In ABSURD News. I remember when some on another board insisted that Correa's back problems were caused by gymnastic sex. That "might" upset wifey enough to make her want to leave or it might make her laugh. Who knows?

With very few exceptions, all teams will win 55 games and lose 55 games each year

That basically leaves a 52 game sample of greatly varying success between the good and the bad

Baseballs long season and pretty much everyday play leads today’s fans to greatly overreact to individual wins and losses

Hell people on this board freak out from inning to inning lol

I've gotten so used to winning that one loss can devastate my day.

Odorizzi might be a one eyed lamb lost in a wool factory this year, but it's gonna be a bar fight today, and he better come to the park drunk.
