Why does it seem like our management is not interested in making any big moves and why does it take hinch such a long time to see something so obvious such as Colin throwing like ****? Should he watch it on TV like us?
Good point, but I'm worried that if we make it to the playoffs, are starting rotation will bite us in the butt, so I'd like to see an upgrade there before the deadline.
I'm sure they're working the channels. Price is ridiculously high right now. There aren't any guys like Kazmir on the market... closest thing was probably Cashner, who is far worse than what Kazmir was at his worst.
I think everyone would like that as well. As has been posted on here and all over ESPN, the starting pitching market is thin and therefore excessively high in cost (while also addressing the problem only partially). Do you want to surrender some of your near-top prospects for a rental 36 year old (Hill), or a controllable middle-of-the-road starter? It's a weird year. As written on ESPN, this is going to be one of 2 years in the last ~10(?) in which a former Cy Young winner is not dealt.
