he needs to stop going for the long ball. He seems to be getting underneath everything. Once he figures out that he's a natural gap hitter... get it through the infield and the corners of the outfield. I know he's got the power to go Deep, but right now I'd rather have him focus on getting contact. Don't get me wrong the kid has a beautiful swing.

The biggest difference between this squad vs '98 is youth. By '98, Big and Bags were vets, 30 years old, yet still completely flopped the previous playoff. It's different for players like that to fail vs a bunch of 20-year-olds who are still establishing themselves in the league. Add the fact we have a few more players in Rasmus and Gomez (yeah that guy) who've proven their production doesn't regress, some cases get better, come postseason helps alot too.

Hoping for a bounce back game today. Like to see some big games from the big names, seems like Altuve just doin it but correa's been quiet lately. Springer. Maybe time to shakeup the lineup some?

Another tough matchup today, but hopefully the boys come through.

In July, Verlander is 3-0 with a 1.60 ERA

In 6 career starts vs HOU, he's 3-0... 2.06 ERA

In 3 career starts vs DET, Fiers is 1-0 with a 3.24 ERA

Verlander is not going to know who or what hit him today.

I woder why Tucker is batting 2nd. I would like to see Bregman in that spot. I feel like Bregman is about to start hitting.

You could say the same thing about Tucker.

Not really because I think Bregman is more of a 2 hole guy than Tucker. Tucker definitely suited more to a power slot. It's not a huge deal, as Tucker may hit tonight but Bregman the more natural 2 hitter.

I'm just saying Tucker right now can't hit in the two hole or cleanup. I know Bergman is better suited batting 2nd.

AJ has said time and time again, that players need to earn the 2 hole spot. Bregman needs at least one hit to move up in the lineup.
