Thats also where all his power comes from. His HRs and 2Bs come from the leftside. Tucker still has a small sample size to be calling on him in the crunch, IMO. Marwins OBP is terrible on the left but if Hinch was looking for a one swing change, Marwin couldve fit the bill also. Villars OBP is .333 which is pretty decent and he has speed to pressure the pitcher if he wouldve got on. Hinch couldve left him in there but didnt. Im just giving credit where I think credit is due.
First, just to be clear, I appreciate how well Hinch has managed the team, yet if you would have polled all of the ML managers, the vast, vast majority would have made the exact same move. In addition, any fan who pays attention to the Astros and knows the personnel and knows baseball, the vast, vast majority would have made the same move.
