Urquidy and james at the 4 and 5 spot of the rotation with fresh off tommy john McCullers as the #3.

    it worries me

I agree that while it could be worriesome I also think at least 2 out of those 3 could have really solid years with a chance of all 3 having solid years. Throw Whitley in the mix in case of an injury or struggles and I think we have several solid options

It could be a very good rotation but right now every guy on that rotation has a big “IF” next to their name from age, injury or inexperience.

We will find out as spring training heats up.
1.Are James’s location issues a thing of the past? If so, he will be a strong rotation guy.
    2. Does Urquidy continue building on success from last year?
    3. McCullers back to being himself after Tommy John?
    4. Father Time giving Verlander Greinke another solid year?

So what you are saying is that the Astros rotation is comprised of pitchers and that there are less ifs on Astros rotation than about 20-25 other teams.

I'm pretty sure you can find If's on any pitcher in the league. Yes, some have bigger -if's- than others, but there will always be a worst case scenario for any one player.

We started last season with Peacock and McHugh in the rotation and by the end of the season 14 guys had started games for the Astros.

Barring any major injuries, I'm not worried about Verlander, Greinke, McCullers, Urquidy, James/Pruitt to start the year. Combined with our minor leaguers (Javier, Whitley, Emanual, Bielak, Framber, etc) it should be enough a minimum to get us to the deadline if we need someone else.

When is the last time any rotation came into the season without question marks?

I've been watching Longhorn pingball for the past week, because it's better than nothing.
