My wife became less interested in watching every single night after Springer left (he was her favorite and I ain't even mad about it). Playoffs she gets very into it and we both stress the eff out. We also go to as many playoff games as we can.
Brown said he is always looking for pitching and that would've been a great depth piece. I am annoyed we didn't move on this. I find myself annoyed with Dana a lot really.
Perhaps this is why we didn't add depth piece(s) in pitching . I saw we wouldn't need a six man rotation until a few weeks in. And there is a little depth in the minors for SP. It is concerning that Ort and Dubin are being held out..
Given the train wreck we saw last year with bad outings and injuries, the Astros might want to try a different track. Maybe start with a 6 man rotation and set a 80 pitch pitch count for April and maybe May, until the pitchers get into mid-season form.
Man, I don't know I would not forego adding SP depth on the basis of those two returning, especially Lance. I wouldn't be so worried about Garcia except the set back he suffered last season was after he was almost on his way back from TJ.
My wife is a sports nut. Especially the NBA. She doesn't care what game is on as long as a game is on. So baseball season, for us, means something is on tv every night.
I guess I should quantify my statement. When I say she "Watches", what I mean is she is on her phone 1/2 the time buying the most unnecessary things on Amazon. She is all in on a good replay though. In 2 months, I suspect I will have 50 solar powered tiki torches show up at my front door.
That's my weekend mornings/early afternoons...but never intentionally for liverpool. Your wife is a terrible person and you should divorce her immediately. GGMU (just kidding, obviously...sort of)
Haha 2 of Houston’s 5 OF (Alvarez and Altuve) are on a HoF track. 2 of their 6 IF (Paredes and Walker) were All-Stars last season. Pretty balanced roster!
He had similar offers from several teams, and the Astros did talk to him - but he wanted to go where he felt he would get guaranteed innings and believed that would be likely true in Pittsburgh than other spots.
