Talk about the series here. Please no PBP in this thread. Unless otherwise noted all games are on CSN-H (for about 40% I guess). 4-8 Philip Humber, RHP vs. Joe Saunders, LHP (Career High K's- 9) 9:10 4-9 Erik Bedard, LHP vs. Brandon Maurer, RHP (1K in 1 GS) 9:10 4-10 Brad Peacock, RHP vs. Blake Beavan, RHP (7K's) 9:10 A few observations: 1) All the Seattle starters in this series have an era of 9.00 (I'm guessing those will go down immediately) 2) I fully expect Jim Crane to soon come out with a statement that we all need to swap to Comcast to see the Astros record breaking strikeout performances. 3)This is the first of many new late night series, enjoy!
Wow..even the Wednesday start is a late start. I assumed we'd have a day game on the last game of the series for travel.
It appears the rumors are true. Paul Clemens has gotten the call.

#Astros planning to call up Paul Clemens later today. This is the first series where the CSN thing will really piss me off. I'm actually looking forward, in a way, to the west coast games. The 9 pm start gives me the chance to watch a game in peace and quiet. Kids will be in bed and I can just sit and watch...well, someday I'll be able to sit and watch.

I'm heading to tonight's Astros @ Mariners game. Just wanted to check if anyone else is planning on being there. I'll be there with a friend, but maybe could meet up for a quick beer or something. Looking forward to it. I'll be excited to see a walk (because it means no perfect) and a hit (no no-no). Anything more is gravy. Maybe Humber can find some magic..
I'm looking at the starts for both teams and don't know anyone, is that bad? and lucky for us I don't have comcast so i can't stay up and watch the strikeouts anyway.. LWL
would love to see the local viewership for this game/series. late night start + awful team + awful opponent + barely anybody can watch in the first place = a record-shattering low. i'll go LWL. i'm optimistic about bedard. maybe i'm nuts.
Will that work with NBA TV (Rockets games) too? Might have to try that next season regardless of whether a deal gets done.
Gonna guy MLBTV for a month and try it tonight, if it works then i'll work on getting my laptop to hook up to my TV, once I get that then jim/les/hutchings can all go scre* themselves
Over/under: 11

#Astros lineup for the opener of their 9-game, 10-day road trip tonight at Seattle.
