Putting Scott in with a 5-run lead is about the only time you can put him in. He's the new Montero at the moment.
Also, correct me if I’m wrong…. Hunter Brown is doing some all-time franchise history stuff over these first 6 starts….. no? I’m totally entrenched….. que the “these guys ain’t so ****ing bad” meme…
I'd like to see that moving graphic of all four super-imposed on top of each other in a live run around to 3rd base. I'd think it'd be a photo finish.
WHAT IF…. And I’m just spitballing here…. The Astros have developed a highly new refined advanced form of analytics (since every team already doing the same other stuff, making is sorta meh), where they create so much negative variance at the plate… and teams start to solely pitch to those spots with those pitches in those counts…. And then the Astros bust out in stretches when it’s like they “know” the scouting report? Sure, it may only get you to .500 or slightly above, and you still have to have great pitching and defense, but… WHAT IF!?
Great game by Pena while batting leadoff. I think Espada should try batting him higher in the order -- like, #1 or #2 higher. 1) the offense has been subpar, thus far 2) his best career success has already happened at the 2 spot 3) it extends the lineup 4) speed (he's stealing bases better this year) With Altuve, Yordan, Walker, and Yainer mostly sucking -- Astros have nothing to lose partaking another "drastic" measure.
We laughed our asses off at this. We have this "friend" who is the biggest ******* I've ever met and he's an obnoxious Ranger fan.
Good seasons those 2005 and 2015 years after years of struggles. I feel 23 and 24 qualify for years of struggles too
