Really hope we don't end up facing the Royals or Indians in any big games later this year.

I'll play literally anyone else and really like our chances.

Great effort The loss isn't a big deal, and well worth if Luke and Giles have found something. McCann is so good. Hitting and behind the plate..

Great chance for a split tomorrow with Lance. BIg start for him. He's pitched well on the road lately, but does KC have our number? Seven innings would be tremendous, but 6 "look okay".

they always fight back, the stros. . If luke can regain his former self, it would be heaven sent right now.

Pretty much any team in baseball would have likely beat us tonight. Their ace versus the worst part of our bullpen is a pretty massive hole to overcome.

Overall, I saw a lot that was encouraging tonight --

    * 11 hits and 3 walks drawn was plenty of offense to win in most games. If the Stros keep that up, they will be fine.

    * BABIP gods were especially unkind to us, especially Marisnick, but they won't always be that way

    * RISP demons reared their ugly heads again (I think the Stros had 11 men left on base), especially with Correa at the plate, but that is mostly just statistical noise

    * Nobody gave up; the morale looks strong

    * SP asking for a sick day minutes before game time is not a situation we are likely to face again this year. In fact we were on the other side of the same situation earlier in the year - the opposing team (Rangers?) had to use their bullpen the entire game when one of their starters had a sudden injury/illness, and we won that game

    * Gregerson and Giles looked better than they have recently

    * We have Harris, Devo, Hoyt + whoever gets called up tomorrow fresh in the bullpen tomorrow.

If anything, tonight's game just underscored why there is no reason to panic.

And it doesn't t hurt that Angels/Rangers lost and Mariners are losing. Still a big division lead regardless but anytime we lose and rest of division loses it's a win

especially with Trout out, we have great chances against Anaheim. Stros will be at 50 wins in no time.

Agreed 100, except I don't want Devo pitching tomorrow. Would be great to give him 3-4 days off honestly. He's played plenty and it's a long season.

Pretty good game today all things considered. Astors have only lost by FOUR runs TWICE since opening weak. IF we loss, it's nip-and-tuck final pitch..

Exactly. Plus we have a 7 game lead on the next closest team in the AL for homefield. Yes, it's early. But this matters ALOT.

Win tmrw and hopefully get Keuchel back for a home game this weekend and try to sweep Angels.

    Keep the train moving.

I suspect not unless McCullers flames out early.

Hoping McCullers goes 7 strong tonight, bullpen been put through the ringers the last 2 weeks. I have no doubt we win tonight, by several runs.
