WTF is this?

 

This information is a few years old, but I'm guessing umps tend to stick with a particular strike zone for long periods of time. As of 2013, Doug Eddings (tonight's home plate ump) was tending to give a lot of calls off the low inside corner against RHB. However tonight we've even seen him calling strikes way over the top of the zone, all over the place really.

What were we expecting to happen here? We threw out a pitcher everyone in the world knew would give up several runs, this was a loss before the first pitch was thrown. They knew this, we should have known this. Going into a game knowing you were going to lose is hardly crashing back to earth.

 

all their little hits are going to that same spot on the right side.

 

This game had ass kicking written all over it with our starter getting scratched at the last second.

Indians and Royals have just been a pain in the ass. Only two teams that have beat the Astros in a series this year. Crazy.

 

Eh, Royals taking advantage of AAA pitchers and bullpen guys that might be tired. Still mad about last night though.

 

Should let Gattis close this thing out on the mound.

 

Royals bullpen is pretty tired and worn out, so I wouldn't count the Stros out just yet.

 

I'm sure Greg is gonna be asked to go 2 tonight, and we probably aren't gonna need to use anybody in the 9th.
