if we needed to have a position player pitch to save the pen for tomorrow, who would it be? Last year Tyler White had the honors, but he's in Fresno now. My guess would be Aoki, given Gonzalez's little injury and the unwillingness to use the backup catcher (Gattis) for such a role.

Honestly if I were Hinch I would ask to forfeit this game. No need to waste our bullpen on a game we have no chance in.

That would have been the logical thing to do with Sipp's struggles.

Not sure that is an option. But we could just intentionally walk everyone till they hit 25 runs.

Is that actually a rule? (25 run)

I honestly expected a split in this series. We were due to cool. Figured a Fiers loss as well as a struggle with peacock then win Dallas and Lance. After that Fiers win I had some hope. We were due for a loss. But the way we lost last night can kill momentum and the "fun" in the clubhouse and start a mini slump. Hopefully the Astros are too good for slumps this year. Guess we will see

Homeboy just called a strike on a pitch at Altuves head level.

Be interesting to see what roster moves they make after the game,

Diaz is going back down for sure, Do they move Keuchel over to the DL to get an extra arm. Maybe put another player on the DL to get an arm up.

And then whom do they call up. Comer, Tolliver, is Musgrove ready to come back? Guduan can't be called up, and Tolliver hasn't been pitching.

the pen has to get through 6 innings. There aren't a ton of arms--want to save who you can. Gotta see if you can get mileage out of Sipp. Sadly, it didn't happen. Lefty (Hosmer) was coming up that inning. Fairly normal decision..

It's not rocket science. Great teams don't lose 2 in a row.

I can't tell if some of these posts are serious or not. Some people just don't need to be watching every game of a baseball season.

Vargas at 85 pitches in 5th inning and he's first pitch swinging.

On a separate Correa note, Royals broadcast was making it sound like Astros would have been out of the 8th inning in 2015 had Correa made the double play. It would have been 6-5 with a man on third and two outs. I think they say that just to troll Astros fans. Ferk them.
