Well it's looking like that Seattle fluke is starting show it's head. The A's are clearly better.

Well, I'm sorry about that, the snark and all. Apologies.

I happen to like a pitcher's duel when the starters are dealing for many innings. I like a stupid home run barrage also. Whatever works.

The A's are a very good team.

Just got back from the game with my wife. What a great crowd of Astros' fans in Denver tonight. We basically were the 10th man and spurred our men on to some 10th inning heroics! After Springer's HR they started pouring out of the stands. Just a bunch of Astros' fans chanting MVP when Altuve came up.

A lot of fun tonight, I'm going to Uganda next week, I needed this.

I forgot to use the sarcasm font.

I would say he's serviceable; neither great nor terrible.

You could clearly hear the MVP chants on tv. Plus the crowd was great, it was awesome to hear all the cheers for Astros plays in Colorado.

    Snark? What snark?

Looks to me you just like baseball.

Some people just like a high scoring type of baseball.

Me, I just liked watching Cole deal last night. Man he was good at Coors.

They are pretty good but nothing like the run they are on.

Gotta give it to the Rockies starter, he pitched a heckuva game too.

But there are posters in this forum that find it difficult to believe that another team's starter can actually throw a well pitched game. It's the MMP batting circle or it's some failure on the part of the Astros or it's something else.

Him and Cole we're both dominant, in the words of Buck, until they were not. It makes anxious when the astro bats are silent, but a pitchers duel is a beautiful thing.

Cant speak for others, but its when the opposing pitcher has a 4.50+ ERA and/or 1.5 WHiP and were in the 6th inning and we cant score runs that I do wonder why we cant hit this guy.

Sure, it happens that the #4 or #5 on a bad staff can pitch well at times. You just dont want it to be against you.
