juicy, When is Puma gonna go on that hot streak we predicted? I guess there's still a lot of time left in June.
I think they want to avoid any injury or tiring of him because they plan on trading him. What bothers me is using Lopez in this spot.
Yeah he has been bad. We couldnt have expected him to repeat last years stats. He drove in 80 runs last year because he had Rollins, Victorino, Utley, Howard, Werth, and Ibanez in front of him.
I don't think that explains the majority of it. One could've said that Pence was in decline after the first month or so but we know that isn't the case. Half of what makes Berkman great is his eye and he hasn't lost that. I don't think he's lost that much power either. I can see him posting an OPS over .900 for another couple of seasons.
2 relievers have given up as many hits as Roy now to get all of 1 out. Bases juiced as we turn to our 3rd reliever of the inning. I smell fail.
Well most of you know my stance on this, OPS is great but he is on pace for one of his worst years in HRs and RBIs and while his eye is still dam good in this lineup he needs to mash not walk. Injuries are not excuse either, the more he gets the more its a concern. Puma has been off for quite some time except for stretches here or there so it isn't like Pence that is still young and hasn't been that consistent since he got here anyway. I hope Puma rebounds for a strong last 3 1/2 months but I just don't see him putting up anything near his previous career numbers anymore.
