LOL... to the warning track for the 3rd out. I think Lyon put his hand on his chest. I thought it was gonna make it over the fence. W for Roy!
That fan was chicken **** on that last flyout on the track. I want to sit in right field and yell in Brad Hawpe's ear.
Cubs-Brewers in extras. If the Cubs win, the Astros move ahead of Mil by half a game after moving ahead of Pit last night.
You never know with this sport but my prediction... pain. Especially with Roy not going in that series.
Yeah for sure, but it would be nice to jack around Andy Pettitte or see Berkman take a tour of that right field upper deck.
That picture still makes me laugh because you have a tombstone in the middle talking about how they are done, but an article right next to it talking about how the "found the formula" in a recent win.
In '05, we gave up the fewest runs in baseball by a significant margin. Only STL had a pitching staff in the NL that rivaled that of the Astros. And our pitching was solid from day one. This season, we currently have the 5th worst team ERA in the NL, the 4th worst team WHIP and have given up the 4th most runs. Our offense this season is even worse than it was in 2005. Even if our main guys get going, we won't be much better than we were that year. Basically, this ain't your 2005 Astros. The pitching isn't even close. Roy was our 3rd best starter that season.
Personally I prefer the Cubs losing. In a season like this, Cubs loses are almost as exciting as Astros wins.
Don't hold back now. How do you really feel? Like I said a few weeks ago, it would be fun to see the reactions of Cubs fans if we are able to leapfrog them in the standings, even if it's only for a few days.
If Wrigley Field was burned to the ground, I would be very thrilled. Is that better? I'm just hoping my buddy Steve Bartman starts the fire.
