Jeff Suppan got released today...hope the Stros follow in those footsteps with Feliz. I have been majorly disappointed in Pedro and I am ready to eat crow on that signing.
Astros really got lucky by missing Jimenez. I really hope they can continue to play well. Although, since no matter what we do, we are not going to make the playoffs, I would almost rather continue losing so that we have a top 3 pick next year. Baltimore looks like they may have the number 1 pick locked up in late July or August.
It's been largely a season of regression for Wandy so far. He looked better in his last outing but for the most part, he's been saying that things aren't working for him since spring training.
Troy Tulowitzki is what Tommy Manzella would be if Manzella was more talented and on steroids. Seriously though, they both have very atypical builds for the shortstop position. The difference is that Tulowitzki is better defensively and is actually able to take advantage of his size at the plate.
3 straight line drives... all right at OFers... one dropped due to an error. Pence hit a ball nicely the opposite way. Edit: I guess Feliz was credit with a hit. I thought that was an error for sure.
Hammel having far and away his best start of the season, particularly at home. He could go all the way with a quick 8th.
Bourn's BB% and SO/BB are at career best marks so far this season. His SLG is down but it's still nice to see him walking more. He's on pace for 70-80 walks.
