from the story: "Meanwhile, the Rocks are strafed daily for trading Jason Jennings rather than paying him. Now comes word Houston probably won't sign him, either, believing his $12 million-a-year price tag too high." in the words of the geico caveman: "yeah i have a response. uhhhhh...what???" where is this "word" coming from?
Career norm? For a guy in his 3rd year in the majors? Based on how people are judging Hirsh, Taveras, and Buchholz based on about a 1/2 season to 3 seasons in the majors, you'd think that players peak immediately upon entering the league and that young players aren't expected to improve.
I'm sure the Rocky Mountain News reporter has good sources inside the Astros org who would be willing to divulge that sort of thing.
Yeah, could be total BS. I would like Jennings back, but for $12 million? And he still may need surgery.
i know it's early, but would it be an exaggeration to say that a perfect game by jason hirsch would be the lowest, darkest moment in franchise history? if not, at least makes the top few.
man, should the altitude really make that big of a difference to a fit athlete running from home to 2nd, to the point where he's completely out of breath like that? that's pretty crazy
if you're squeezing with no outs, the batter should not be in the major leagues (nothing new to me though). bring on the beating of a dead horse pics.
