2nd day in a row we've had a pitcher either be slow to the base or in today's case not go over there at all.
It stayed home. Damn shame too cause playing at Coors field you would expect an offensive explosion... and it looks like we're gonna get swept at Coors. How the hell does that happen? ...maybe the Astros got their months mixed up. So far they're May is looking more like they're "traditional" April.
I don't think we are going to win a game again so if I were you I'd quit watching and also quit posting. Especially the 2nd part.
It happens when the only hitter who's in a good groove is Lance Berkman. Biggio, Ensberg, Wilson, Lane, Everett and Ausmus are all struggling this series, and if it wasn't for a couple of bloop hits by Wilson, they were in danger of scoring 1-2 runs the entire series. Another thing u notice is that all of those struggling players have had vast differences in home/road splits over the last couple of years... whereas Lance has been slightly better on the road. They've had a ton of games at home thus far, so perhaps its gonna take some more time to get their road-rhythm in-sync... but if there was ever a trip to do it, it would be this three-city trip.
Morgan in a major slump. Rockies have a good young team. I think they could be around .500 this year.
This could be a long trip with Noah Lowry on Monday who pitches great versus the Astros always, and Astros always struggle in LA.
Gallo pitching to Helton? After walking the previous batter on 4 straight balls... This won't end well. Edit: Hmm...that actually worked. *tries again* There is NO WAY the Astros will score 5 runs in this inning.
Well, we can't always play Milwaukee and Pittsburgh... But, I maintain that if the Astros continue their good play within the division (in which they've played everybody except for the Cubs), they'll be in decent shape.
really??? why dont you provide some evidence to that accusation. all i did was defend the posters that Aceshigh berated this morning. get a clue. i'm done with you.
This entire thread is evidence ... Just about every one of your posts has either been negative about how the Astros are doing or berating another poster. We get it ... The Astros are losing a series. I'm glad you understand then.
Back-to-back complete games by Rockies pitchers at Coors Field would have been a for-sure sign of the apocalypse. Thankfully, they're taking Cook out in the 9th... the world will live to see another day.
well thing is though, the .200 blues are catching up to us finally. we were somehow able to overcome wilson striking out 50 times a game in april, as well as everett's usual red hot bat... couple that with lane STILL batting .200 for the season, and it's a wonder we're not closer to .500 than what we are. the gambles that were going to make us a decent offensive team this year with wilson having perhaps a revitalized year and lane being able to add more pts to the avg along with his power, haven't panned out and that's putting a big strain on ensberg and berkman to deliver each time out.
