I still prefer to lose this way than having the lead in late innings only for our relievers to blow the lead.
Yankees losing 5-2, if that score stands they will be 30-38 in their last 68 games. That's a really long time to be worse than mediocre.
Spencer (and Pena) sucked so bad, two of the Big 4 had to pitch in a 7-run game. What a stupid a** game. Road game too, so Astros only needed 8 IP. We def need a solid 5 innings *minimum* from Brown tomorrow.
This is probably the A's best starter (Sears) considering how much better he's pitched the last several weeks. Would be nice to take another one from the Marooners.
Regarding Tucker: “He’s really, really close,” Espada said. “He’s bouncing back well. Not much soreness. It’s about how he feels the next day. It’s about, can he score from first on a ball to the gap? Thursday is an option, but unlikely.” How about can he hit and field? He's no Pete Crow-Armstrong. Let's just get him back in the lineup for God's sake.
Astros obviously DO NOT need to go on a losing streak and let Seattle catch up. Need some serious reflection and renewed zeal and commitment. . Get it together and kick the Reds out of the way.
Hopefully they actually get a win tomorrow. Atleast it's a noon game, so it'll be done before I get off work.
I only saw 2 innings due to traveling for work but don’t give up on Spencer. He’s got great stuff and is a dawg. He just had a day where CIN hit some good pitches and found holes, bloopers, just out of reach. Couple gappers etc. we just did that in the 10 run game he last pitched in, it’s cliche but it’s baseball. He’ll be fine as well as this offense once we get Tucker back.
Astros defense up the middle is average at best. Diaz - cool, but our pitchers can't hold runners Pena - errors Altuve - phone booth range, average arm at best Meyers - great range, terrible arm There isn't much of a cure unless Pena stops fumbling. Bregman won't be 100% again this season. The pitching better be stellar. Strikeouts are our best friend.
Yeah, I think so too. Pena has been trash in the field and it's on relatively routine plays too. I'm baffled.
That's not even close to what I posted but ok how's this for you, Reds are baseball gods and we suck donkey dick, Spencer is NOW trash after one recent bad game, horrible ****ing team we are, I'm out the rest of the way lol
Is it just me, or do the Astros pitchers seem uninterested in trying to hold runners on? Very few are stolen on our catchers.
