It's nice not to worry about the division. But no time to get complacent. It's time to go on a run challenging the leaders in the AL. I've got the Astros finishing strong at 92-70, a 17-7 finish. 3-2 (remainder of this week) 5-1 (Angels, A's) 5-2 (Padres, Angels) 4-2 (Mariners, Guardians) Astros tie the Guardians in game 162 and win the tiebreaker for the bye. Orioles finish at 94-68 with the best record in the AL.
If the Mariners are eliminated... they may be resting their starters in that series. As have a Major League vibe with them. Angels are a viable opponent as long as Rendon is healthy... which is rare.
Teams like the reds always smack us around. I’m not worried. We will probably lose 2 of these games. We will have our hands full with the A’s too. I think we play the A’s next.
It's gonna be a challenge entering Cleveland only down 1 game. Astros can full well finish 17-7, but they're 4.5 behind. We need Cleveland to lose. KC entered the series with the 2nd best home record in the AL, then lost the first two games of the series... smh. I doubt the tiebreaker comes into play. Astros will more likely need a sweep.
