IMO, Lyon is just not closer material. He's simply the closer out of necessity.

Hope the scouts are hard at work finding that 17 year old Latin American that throws 95+ without any semblance of control.

I'm so glad we finally got a win. Too bad I couldn't watch.

I'm kind of in shock right now. I wonder how much that team ERA went down after this one?

The good news so far is we haven't been shut out. Last year's team would have probably blanked the first two out of three.

Hopefully, we can carry it over to the homestand. Good way to end a road trip. I'm glad for them.

Anybody know what the velocity was on Brett's fastball? I read some article the other day saying his fastball velocity had a noticeable dropoff from last year...like 3 mph or thereabouts. I wonder if that is just because he needs to get his strength up? Or, maybe his age caught up with him? As long as he locates pitches, I guess it doesn't really matter if the velocity drops on his fastball.

That's nearly as big a WTF as the orangutan sex slave thread.

Nearly? I think the orangutan sex slave thread makes MORE sense than Carlos Lee leading the league in triples!
