Goodie! Caught the Reds, in spite of the horrendous, horrendous Brad Lidge.

Lidge looks completely lost out there. Very lucky save tonite. There was no one like him in 04 and 05

I'm really looking forward to seeing Towles and Anderson play every day next year. They're fun to watch.

I'm already getting my annual baseball downer. Since about the 6th grade I've been depressed everytime the Astros season ended. And after the World Series ends it sucks. It's being compounded this season by it being Biggio's last season.

Towles is much more likely than Anderson. I think he's done well this month, but I think it's an aberration...at least based on his minor league stats. I do think he should get a fair shot at the position, assuming they don't go after and get Torii Hunter. I like Luke Scott, but he also makes good trade bait (reasonably young left handed decent power bat who has the potential to hit for average).

Our recent winning baseball has shown that we dont need more heavy hitting sluggers, we need people to get on base like towles and anderson so pence, berkman, and lee can drive in more runs. Maybe we can get another speedy hitting second baseman or we could probaly just sign jeff kent to a two year deal again.
