Damned straight. Yours truly, RoyO, Rocket, Brandon Backe, Qualls-Wheeler-Lidge, Beltran-Bagwell-Berkman-Kent, and your 2004 Houston Astros.
The bullpen has been pretty good for the most part (especially in the past couple of weeks). With the exception of Williams, the starting pitching has done well.
Everybody will... but Lidge isn't back yet. He is, however, making strides with his control. Not pitching the 9th has allowed him to relax a little and regain some command of the fastball.
no need to "suspect" jennings or oswalt. outside of them, suspect? absolutely. rodriguez is rodriguez, sampson is unproven but showing good trends. i think he means william, who currently is ..... ya know... giving up 18 runs every time he walks out there
Tune in later for the next installment of "Trends that I will jinx the living **** out of." Check local listings.
How long does the team give Woody to figure it out? Or does Nieve get a chance to come up and start? I didn't like the signing when we did it, and it certainly looks worse now. Sometimes players stay too long..... DD
Yeah, I have season tickets, actually his last outing was really good, but it was on the road, so I didn't get to see that one. Round Rock is loaded with talent this year across the board.....the team looks well stocked for the future. I just don't like Woody Williams, he may have a game or two left, but IMHO, his stuff has been declining over the last year or so..... Is there any dicussion of Roger? Is he even working out these days? DD
A big inning for the Astros bats has won the last two games. Hopefully a good sign for the rest of the season.
great question man....i was pretty sure when we signed woody that he was gonna bring his worst version of himself. i really feel like we'd be better off without him. he's a start away from catching up with bradley and craig on my stros ****list. have a bad feeling that he aint losing his job anytime soon no matter how poorly he keeps pitching. but, i digress from my role as resident negativist on the board. another awesome win tonight. blows my mind that we're already 2 over .500.
yeah, on the radio today i heard i think a guest kevin bass or someone say roger was in great shape. he will announce in may where he will pitch. (even though he hasnt announced if he will yet)
I expect Woody to pitch somewhere in between what he was last year, and what he has been the last two starts.
