Seems like we would have scored more runs this weekend with the pre trade deadline team. Seriously. We've definitely come down from the high of Thursday.
Their best hitter this year had their hamstring ripped straight off the bone. Their best hitter on the roster still has to figure out if his hand will be amputated.
They have a surplus of infielders and will have to trade away one of Dubon, Walker, or Paredes, not just to unclog the roster but also to free up payroll. But they will have some room under the tax next season and only 2 potential needs (backup C and SP). They will also have some prospects they can trade without downgrading their 2025 outlook. Houston has proven amazing at evaluating pitchers. There will be a lot of guys available this offseason via both trade and free agency. I personally doubt Houston will be shopping at the top of the free agent market. A lot will be determined by how Brown, Arrighetti, Javier, Garcia, McCullers, and Walter finish out 2025.
Boston trying to bunt a runner over in the 2nd inning. Now that's a hilarious level of disrespect for this anemic Astros offense.
God damn you are super negative. It’s the 2nd inning of Correa’s 3rd game with the team. Relax. If the game isn’t fun for you to watch, turn it off and go do something else.
Framber is better than all of them. He's right there as the biggest reason this team has stayed relevant (and had playoff success/titles) since 2020.
It’s all about value. If some team is gonna give Framber $240M I don’t want it to be Houston. If Houston can buy a Cease and a Gallen for the same combined price as 1 Framber, I think that’s a way better move.

eh, its not my money. Results, familiarity, and what puts people in the seats matters plenty to Crane. This may be the case where he knows what the most important position on the field, how hard it is to find health there, and how Valdez has been to this point (including his medicals, his body type, how he's projected to age, etc.). Would still take an expensive Framber (as is) over any of those guys.
