The booing of Altuve is so ****ing moronic, glad Beantown fans are as dumb as the rest of the MLB fans.......
The offense is going to be better... there's been some bad base-running as welll... but the Red Sox have actually played good ball this weekend.
Fun fact: Martin Maldonado's RBI rate per AB was higher in 2021, 2022 and 2023 vs that of Carlos Correa in 2025. That was a Maldonado that averaged batting well under .200 during that period and routinely batting 8th or 9th in the lineup. Correa has batted between the 3rd and 5th spot all year long. I think it's a mistake to put him in the heart of the lineup until he shows he can drive anybody in. It's akin to placing Jake Meyers in the cleanup spot. You would never do it.
Nasty changeups... nasty curveballs. Been a weekend of the Red Sox finding ways to make contact on 2 out hits, getting some lucky bloops, etc.... Framber seems locked in.
Things I love to see: Opposing fans loudly booing Jose Altuve. Opposing managers putting in a lefthanded RPto face Yordan Alvarez in a crucial point in the game.
That's been healthy all year. Where did his limited power go? I mean at least he use to be a low 20s HR guy, now he's on pace for only 10? He's literally Jake Meyers right now. Hopefully he turns it around and looks like 2024.
Probably score a run t Why do you think this? Just curious. It should be better with the additions and factoring in luck etc but I still see a lot of the same trends and patterns
They probably need to... They're not going to have a top 10 (or top 5?) payroll and not have more than one decent starter (or at least they shouldn't). May be a ton of salary dumps coming...
