In case anyone missed it... https://www.chron.com/sports/astros/article/astros-justin-verlander-injury-19649175.php Houston Astros pitcher Justin Verlander makes rehab start in Sugar Land "Physically, I felt good, was able to step on a few fast balls there at the end," Verlander said. "Checked all the boxes I needed to today. I was able to throw everything, but execution wasn't as good as I would like. I try not to be too nitpicky. Health is first and foremost, the hard thing with coming back on rehab starts is you don't have as many starts to fine tune all your mechanics like we do in spring training. You have to be a bit critical in execution and try to get better next time out."
I’m trying to figure out what is going on with Breggy. He is crushing the ball with some of the longest HR of his career. Is it 2019 again?
So we got 3 starters on the uptick, Brown, Valdez, Arrighetti. Blanco holding on but somewhat concerning if he's hitting a wall. Kikuchi looks rejuvenated to come over to a potential deep playoff run type of team. When JV gets back, you go to a 6 man rotation, and if you have an off day, skip Blanco's start. That's how you handle Blanco the rest of the way. Plus JV could benefit from a 6 man rotation. Maybe Brown as well.
When you hit it 106+ with a 27deg angle, it goes a long way anywhere. Funnily...the only park statcast says Yordan's HR wouldn't have gone out is Coors.
