Who knows if Martes will ever sniff the majors again and James had a setback in his rehab. I agree though about using Solomon in the pen. I’m surprised that move hasn’t been made with the amount of dead weight that’s currently in the pen. Paredes still pitching major league innings on this team makes the org look dysfunctional. maybe it won’t matter in the end but if the Astros lose the division by a couple of games and get bounced in the WC round people will look back at the first half of the season and reasonably ask why there wasn’t more urgency in finding internal solutions for the pen.
He’s been bit by the homer bug and has walked too many but he’s getting Ks at a good rate and his competition is Paredes, Scrubb, and Rodriguez. He also has a decent track record (which gives him pretty favorable projections) and while he’s coming off TJS his stuff looked intact in his brief stint in Houston.

Are we having nostalgic thoughts about Josh James? He hasn't pitched well since 2018. The only way to fix is this is for Click to get off his butt and get a trade done. The player acquired doesn't have to be a stud just not be the pile of dog poo that is available right now.
Just an absolute trash performance by Baker and the bullpen yet again. Idk why he had to pull Greinke after 64 pitches, but who knows maybe Zack told him something. Regardless, you follow that up with garbage Bielak, and after he gets himself in a jam just leave him out there to blow the lead. Taylor and Paredes? Geez Dusty. He can't even blame these trash bullpen arms on not being well rested anymore. ****ing clown show.
On a side note, the bullpen had a lower ERA than the starters last night, and two pop ups got dropped. Last night's Sacko goes to Greinke, the bullpen, Correa, Tucker, Altuve, Yuli, and Jones. Throw in Dusty too if you want to blame him for bullpen decisions after 8 runs have scored.
